Carla is a warm and experienced Clinical Psychologist who has worked for over a
decade in the field of eating disorders, body image and related concerns. She is
dedicated to helping people improve their quality of life and to find healthy ways of
coping with life’s challenges. Carla takes a supportive and non-judgmental approach
to therapy, and is committed to providing a safe space for all of her clients as they
work towards their goals.
Carla has experience working with adults and adolescents with eating disorders in
both private and hospital settings, including specialist hospital programs and at
Sydney University as a therapist on a chronic anorexia research trial. She also has
extensive experience in treating anxiety disorders, mood disorders, adjustment
disorders and stress-related issues.
Carla’s qualifications include a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology, a Postgraduate
Diploma in Psychology, and a Bachelor of Social Sciences majoring in Psychology
from the University of Western Sydney. She has trained in a range of psychological
approaches and techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance
and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Interpersonal Therapy and Motivational
Enhancement Therapy. Carla is fully registered with Psychology Board of Australia.
Carla is very excited to return to the team at Shape Your Mind after taking a few
years off to raise her 3 young children, and is committed to helping her clients shape
meaningful and fulfilled lives.
