Rachel is a Registered Psychologist with a special interest in the treatment of eating disorders. She is also passionate about reducing the stigma associated with body image and appearance. Rachel’s therapeutic approach is founded on empathy and collaboration, providing a safe space for clients to feel supported whilst navigating the journey towards recovery. Rachel has experience working with individuals of all ages who suffer from anxiety, depression, behavioural challenges, and autism. Rachel’s academic qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology and a Masters of Professional Psychology.
Rachel draws from various evidence based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). In addition, Rachel has received specialised training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E) and Family Based Therapy (FBT). Rachel is fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPI).
