Olivia is a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychologist and the Director of Shape Your Mind, which she founded in 2010. With more than 20 years’ experience, Olivia specialises in working with people experiencing eating disorders, body image concerns, and related difficulties including trauma, anxiety and mood disorders.
Olivia is committed to creating a safe, inclusive and respectful therapeutic space where people of all body sizes, sexualities, genders and cultural backgrounds feel welcome. She takes a non-diet approach to her work and is informed by Health at Every Size® principles, supporting clients to develop a more compassionate and sustainable relationship with food, their bodies and themselves.
Throughout her career, Olivia has worked across both inpatient and outpatient eating disorder services and previously held the role of Coordinator of the Peter Beumont Centre for Eating Disorders Day Program. She is a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician and is a Board-Approved Supervisor. Olivia is also a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists and the Australia and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders.
Olivia holds a Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Psychology from the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. She has undertaken specialist training in a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Olivia brings warmth, curiosity and genuine care to her work. She is passionate about helping her clients move towards fuller, more meaningful lives, while developing more compassionate relationships with food, their bodies and themselves.
